St. John Fisher Lacrosse 2013
With a
program that started just eleven years ago in 2002, the St. John Fisher
lacrosse program has reached a high level of success. Head Coach John C. Johnson has led the Cardinals since 2006 and held an 84-26 record entering this
year. Despite such a high winning
percentage, Coach Johnson is still itching for his first conference title in
the always-competitive Empire 8. With the likes of Nazareth College, Ithaca
College, and Stevens Institute of Technology, there is no shortage of
competitive teams that have a chance to win the conference every year.
For this 2013 season,
The Cardinals have selected Michael Boisvert, Jamie Campagna, Ryan Freige, David Hasley, and Greg Ramsden as their
captains to lead them through the season.

through the season.
Boisvert leads an attack group with juniors Jeff Wester and
Brett Farrell, along with fellow senior Brian Cole.
Jamie Campagna stands in goal for the second consecutive year
after an impressive sophomore campaign in which he had an outstanding .533 save
percentage along with 145 saves on the season.
Ryan Freige looks to add from an effective junior season in
which he was 56.5% from the face-off X. As the leading face-off man this
season, Freige will set the pace for the Cardinals as they lean on the Senior
for his leadership.
David Hasley comes back for his junior year after starting at
long-stick midfield last year. Hasley had an excellent season as a sophomore as
he was tied for second on the team with sixteen caused turnovers.
Greg
Ramsden looks to set the pace of St. John Fisher’s midfield with his blazing
speed and quick left-handed shot. Ramsden is poised for a much larger role in
the offense this year and expects to have a breakthrough year.
